Ongoing expansion for Bristol pensions firm as it recruits new staff and outlines economic prediction for end of 2009

10 June 2009

Trigon Pensions Ltd, the Bristol-based, independent pension consultancy, which specialises in corporate pensions, is celebrating its continued growth despite the difficult current economic climate, taking on two new recruits at its Clifton based office.

With ten years experience in the pensions industry, Tracey White takes on the new role as Senior Pensions Administrator, joining the Bristol Administration team from Jardine Lloyd Thompson. Bristol University graduate Jason Llama has joined to support the Investment consultancy team.

Tracey White said: “I am delighted to join the team at Trigon. The company has a great reputation and is moving in a positive direction, and in these particularly challenging times that is vital.”

David Gascoigne, Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to welcome both Jason and Tracey to the team, to strengthen our administration team and support our consultancy services.”

David continued: “Although it has been a challenging year, our views on how things will progress towards the end of 2009 are more encouraging. I believe that the economy will remain weak throughout 2009 but pick up in 2010 as trade continues to improve and industrial production strengthens.

“Sterling is likely to strengthen against both the Dollar and Euro towards the end of the year, and the price of oil will continue to rise. In terms of investment markets I believe that, although gilt yields will remain low, we will see a small and slow rise as appetite for risk returns to investors.

“However, as for equities, we believe that further bouts of profit taking and continuing poor economic news will continue to hold back recovery of the markets in 2009 followed by a more positive upturn in 2010.”
